How appropriate, 5 months without a post and then this title!
I thought I’d share this alarm clock tone for those technically advanced like me, with phones that can play mp3s! I got mine this year! You got yours when? 5 years ago? Cool, join the technically advance club!
I heard this song, Sacred, by Caedmon’s Call (CC) and fell in love with the sweetness of it. A godly mother/wife. The part I am using for my ringtone is the bridge of Sacred, where Danielle Young sings to the tune of the hymn, Holy, Holy, Holy.
The lyrics go like this:
Wake up, little sleeper
The Lord, God Almighty
Made your Mama keeper
So rise and shine, rise and shine
Rise and shine cause
All those who are technologically advanced can add this to your technologically advanced mobile phone.
If you think that it’s too quiet for an alarm. It was so loud on my technologically advanced phone that it woke me up on the first beat! HA! Although, that may be because I’m a lite-sleeper.
I also want to take this chance to dedicate the song to my dearest auntie Ros in Sydney! Go godly mummy!
I have a new song, here are the lyrics. It’s also my first attempt at something not so emo, but its still very emotional. It’s got what I like to think as an RnB feel.
Don’t know what to say or think anymore
We’ve both been down this broken road
Too many times too many hears have been broken
How much more can we endure
O girl I wish I could give you the stars
I know we can’t turn back time
But is there a 2nd chance
‘Cos he said love will never fail
Do you believe
Do you believe
O we could place our hopes in someone far greater than ourselves
O we could, do you believe
Time has had its way with me
My broken, tired hands can’t build a thing
The wires that have held me still
Embedded now in flesh, define my will
The idle of my days has won
The empty I have fed has made me numb
Despite what you will find in me
The failures of my past still swell beneath
(Pre-chorus:)
I need a heart that carries on through the pain
When the walls start collapsing again
Give me a soul that never ceases to follow
Despite the infection within
(Chorus:)
Our careless feet leaving trails
Never minding the fragile dirt that we all end in
This is where I find my fall
The cares that held me life don’t work at all
And every step away from here
Is closer to the plague I hold so dear
Awaiting my end
Breathing in the day that finds me new
Redemption begins
Bleeding out the flaws in place of you
In one week I saw, Brooke Fraser, Pillar and… Switchfoot!!
Brooke Fraser first. What can I say she was great! She sang great, I knew most of the songs from Albertine and to top it off she was really funny, very candid too!
The show started with the band taking their instruments and starting an instrumental. Right at that moment I was reminded of the band Eight and thought to myself, “They sound very kiwi.” Because in my mind, I made the connection of Kiwi with Brooke Fraser and Eight.
Brooke then walked onto stage and the crowd cheered! She started singing the C. S. Lewis Song! That was a pretty good start!
I will try to describe her humour, although that kinda thing is pretty hard to write.
She changed guitars after the first song, and while replacing the jack there was some noise and she said, “Oops.”
After the 2nd song, she removed the capo of her guitar and signalled to her techie that she wanted to use the other capo. But the techie didn’t get it, so Brooke had to ask for it! Over the microphone!
She then apologised to the audience and said that she had meant to do it subtly! *Cue laugh* Ok. So I did not manage to capture her humour, just imagine she’s very candidly funny k?
Her other jokes included the facial hair one, her bloody green mucus, the drummer living at 7 and a half mile and drinking red wine with antibiotics. They aren’t jokes per se, just anecdotes that were very funny?
Highlights of the gig were not JUST the spoken parts but the sung parts! Her voice, even though she was not well she sang really well!
The band that accompanied her was really good! Nigel from Hillsongs was there too! Haha. Everyone was brilliant in their own right. The keyboardist stood out much! She played keyboards, sang backup, did some percussion and even played a mean viola. Listen to “Hymn” for an idea of how it sounds like, the viola.
It was a great night for Christian music, for God’s music. It got me thinking about what I want to do with my gifts and talents. I want to use them all for God’s glory. I want my music to speak of God’s greatness, love, mercy, His justice and holiness. I want my life to echo his character. Use me Lord.
Ever since the day that I was made I’ve been deciding the end
And I was made of wood and stone that won’t diminish or bend
So when the heavy hand of death is here to take me away
I’ll be the solid grip of time, forever holding my stay
Nobody ever made a force that took a beating like me
I call the earth and every scum to come and try to fight me
Cus when I made the choice to live beyond the dirt that we tread
I felt the curse of mortal limit fall before it was said
Pre-chorus:
When this season ends…
Chorus:
One final heart-break
And blinding lights will guide our way
Free us our blind state
They will call us by our name
Undying
Tearing through these days I find the tolerance to strive and push on
I know what lies beyond this life for me is already won
No one can take away the blood that covers over my fall
Without the blood of perfect life I know I’m nothing at all
So now I reign forever hallowed in eternity’s hand
No man can shake me from the everlasting ground that I stand
We are the ones who will still remain when all is laid to waste
We are the ones who, when angels cry, will see them face to face
We are the ones
Ignore the first ten seconds or so of the video. She’s uber-cute and pleasant.
Notice the way she bites her lower lip? Aiyoooo!

In a conversation with Kris (who lives in Melbourne) on MSN:
Liang: Lana KROST!
Liang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ksl8YJyFdbQ
Kris: i dont watch idol
Liang!: Go see this one lah.
Liang: You boycott it?
Kris: okay where is she from?
Kris: i am going to marr yher
Bwahahaha! She’s from Perth! According to the list here she is the only one from Perth!
The people of Perth must rally together to keep her idol hopes alive! I am actually going to vote for her! Yes I am.
I first saw C. C., short for Cydney Celeste, on Relient K’s Who I Am Hates music video. I thought she had a very adorable and beautiful smile.
Relient K – Who I Am Hates Who I Was
So I googled these words, “girl relient k who i am hates who i was” and it brought me to the wiki page for the video and there her name was under the video credits! Woohoo I struck gold! Haha.
Next thing to do was to google her name and I got to her IMDB site and her band’s Myspace site, she sings pretty well too!
On her Myspace profile, she lists her religion as Buddhism, may the Lord save her! No, really. May God move in her heart!
